Xing Memorial Fund was established to honor the life and legacy of Mr. Xing Gu, who passed away on August 28th, 2015, after suffering a massive stroke. Xing was 47.
Albeit short, Xing’s life is nothing short of inspiration. He had made personal sacrifices toward the democracy movement in China, while he was a student of Peking University (1986 to 1989). Since then, he had overcome extraordinary adversity to achieve financial success and set ambitious goals to improve the life for others. Xing's death sent a shock wave to his generation of Peking University alumni, who regard him a symbol for idealism, perseverance and optimism. We have established the Fund to keep Xing’s memory alive. The mission of the Fund is to build a strong community to promote leadership, compassion and social responsibility through charitable and educational activities.
